SIS Verification

Demonstrate by review, analysis and/or testing that the required outputs satisfy the defined requirements for the appropriate phases of the safety life cycle identified by the verification planning.

Functional Safety Assessment

A procedure shall be defined and executed for a functional safety assessment in such a way that a judgement can be made as to the functional safety and safety integrity achieved by the SIS.

SIS Validation

Validate, through inspection and testing, that the installed and commissioned SIS and its associated SIFs achieve the requirements as stated in the safety requirement specification.
